Growing up, he was a community organizer for Obama, became a speechwriter for Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, a movement leader for The Green New Deal, and a staff writer on Season One of the hit series The Bear! We spend a lot of time talking about Alex's Campaign for WGAW Board of Directors and some of the hot topics that move him to stand up for us and fight, saying things like: "Writers didn’t burn down Hollywood. Billionaires wrecked Hollywood just like Twitter, submarines, and everything else they touch."
